I know Roger as a sweet gentile man who loved his wife Rose(my friend ) and his children and grand children with such profound passion. How wonderful he found his paradise in the hills of Virginia that is so much like his homeland of WV. My sorrow is so deep. Love Joanne
I have known Roger for over 30 years ever since we moved in next door in Columbia. He and Rose were great friends and we had many good times together. Jane and I will miss having our little chats with him on the screen porch at the Farm. As I sit out on my screen porch today I have been remembering some of these chats and thinking what a great guy he was. You will be missed Roger. Rose, we wish you our deepest sympathies and offer our support whenever you need it.
I was deeply schocked and saddened when I received a card from Rose letting me and my husband Brian know Roger passed away. Sadly we di not even know he was sick. We has ALWAYS "planned" to go to the farm, but life kept us busy, nw I wish I had taken the time. I have known Rose since The Sears days, when we worked together ans she threw me a bridal shower. Our heart is with you Rose. Love Andrea

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I followed Arby's battle with melanoma after he started posting on the MPIP.
As ever, Carver
